About the Campaign
The Buy New Zealand Campaign Ltd began in 1988. Its basic aim is encouraging consumers and organisations to buy New Zealand goods and services wherever possible. It’s not a difficult concept to sell.
Most people share the common human inclination to support their own local community ahead of outsiders. And the success of the Buy New Zealand campaign has been greatly helped by the well recognised stylised kiwi.

Independent research conducted by Research International NZ Ltd shows that the kiwi logo is recognised by 85% of New Zealanders and that 9 out of 10 Kiwis prefer to buy products that are New Zealand made where price and quality are equal to imported product.
Through the same research it was discovered that many New Zealanders, Shoppers and Retailers, had difficulty in locating NZ made goods and services.
As an answer to this issue, the Buy NZ Made Campaign has developed getnzmade.net to connect manufacturers, retailers and shoppers with NZ made products.
